The most important parts of this chapter are...
- the Sensory Preferences Checklist on page 10,
- the part that talks about initiation on page 17,
- the stages on page 29,
- and the parent roles on page 39. When I trained in this program I was definitely a "helper/teacher" and I was surprised to learn about the different ways that gets in the way of communication. I try to be a "partner," but often fall into the role of "cheerleader."
