For my ocean sensory bin I really wanted Orbeez since can stay wet (and cool) without getting funky, but I discovered that Orbeez have been banned (and for good reason).
Instead I got this temperature-based-color-changing kinetic sand. To give myself a break from cleaning water all day and struggling to keep the sensory bin from getting “funky” I also got these star-shaped plastic ice cubes. I have to take them home each night to freeze them since my office mini fridge isn’t strong enough, but that’s a small price to pay for regulated patients!!!
I added parts from my previous bins: these iridescent blue plastic pebbles, animal minis from the Terra Sea Life set, some sand castle-themed kinetic sand tools I got years ago (very similar to the ones in this set), and my Moana 2 Doorables.
