December’s Theme: Holidays

I was inspired by “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” for my December theme. In it Olaf travels around Arendale and asks each family what their holiday traditions are. He gathers traditions for Christmas, the winter solstice, and Hanukkah. I like to talk to kids about their holiday traditions as well as the traditions of cultures they’re unfamiliar with each December. My favorite is talking about Iceland’s tradition of giving books on Christmas and everyone spends the day reading. 😍
